This week focused on designing and prototyping a Workforce Accountability and Attendance system. I worked on research, system design planning, and UI/UX prototyping, gradually moving from conceptual ideas to a near-final interactive design.
What I Worked On
Workforce accountability and attendance research.
Completed comprehensive research on workforce accountability and attendance systems. Identified existing system gaps and improvement opportunities, particularly in tracking efficiency and user workflow clarity.
Developed a conceptual prototype application focused on:
- Attendance tracking
- Workforce accountability monitoring
- Improving overall workforce management efficiency
Created a structured development plan aligning research findings with system design and future implementation goals.
UI/UX prototyping (Figma).
Created a partial prototype using Figma to visualize the application flow for the workforce accountability and attendance system. Designed interactive screens to demonstrate navigation, functionality, and user experience.
Focused on building a user-centered design that reflects real-world workflows for attendance monitoring systems.
LGU app UI/UX refinement.
Continued improving the LGU attendance application prototype for better usability and clarity. Finalized major design components and refined layout structure, bringing the prototype close to completion.
Prepared the design for future Flutter integration and implementation.
Final prototype completion.
Successfully completed and polished the LGU attendance checker UI/UX design. Developed an intuitive interface for attendance tracking aimed at supporting efficient local government operations. Prepared the final prototype for presentation and client demonstration.
Webinar participation and ongoing development.
Continued development of the Workforce Accountability & Attendance system while strengthening Node.js knowledge. Participated in the 3-Day Badgermint Webinar Series to gain additional industry insights.
What I Learned
- Research-driven design leads to clearer and more practical system structures
- Prototyping early (Figma) helps validate workflows before development begins
- User flow clarity is just as important as visual design in system applications
- Iterating on UI/UX before implementation reduces future development friction
Next Week
- Begin translating prototype into a working application
- Continue Node.js development for backend integration
- Refine system architecture for workforce accountability tracking
