Week 7 — Feature Expansion, UI Refinement, and System Enhancements

This week focused on expanding system features, improving UI/UX consistency, and enhancing the stability and functionality of the Workforce Accountability and related applications. I also worked on new communication features and continued testing for security and reliability.

What I Worked On

RWA prototype development.
Created and hosted an RWA rice trading and Coinbase/Base Sepolia prototype to explore blockchain-related functionality and system behavior in a test environment.

Profile and notification improvements.
Refined the user profile page to ensure accurate and consistent display of user information. Improved notification functionality by adding navigation links for direct access to related pages, enhancing usability and workflow efficiency.

Flutter attendance app UI improvements.
Enhanced the UI of the Flutter-based attendance application to achieve a cleaner, more user-friendly design. Focused on improving layout consistency and overall user experience.

Conducted repeated testing to ensure application security, stability, and correct functionality across different modules.

Online meeting feature development.
Developed a new “Online Meeting” feature intended for LGU webinar and communication use. Ensured that the system supports secure communication with proper encryption measures.

Notification system enhancements.
Implemented improved notification controls, including mute, unmute, and push notification functionality to give users better control over system alerts.

What I Learned

  • Prototyping helps validate new system ideas (especially experimental ones like RWA concepts) before full implementation
  • UI consistency improves user trust and reduces confusion in navigation-heavy systems
  • Security and stability testing should be continuous, not only done at the end of development
  • Feature expansion should always consider usability, not just functionality
  • Notification systems are critical for real-time communication and user engagement

Next Week

  • Improve stability and performance of new online meeting feature
  • Continue refining Flutter attendance app UI and functionality
  • Expand notification system with smarter filtering and prioritization
