This week focused on improving the MIH web system’s UI consistency, optimizing navigation structures, and handling client data validation and encoding tasks. I also continued learning modern workflows through training and hands-on implementation.
What I Worked On
Training and development workflows.
Attended a seminar on vibe coding and version control using Git and GitHub. Participated in training sessions focused on modern development workflows and collaboration practices.
UI and layout improvements.
Worked on improving the MIH web system’s interface by enhancing layout structure and visual consistency across multiple pages. Adjusted text alignment, spacing, and responsiveness to improve overall usability.
Navigation and menu optimization.
Improved and streamlined the mega menu structure based on feedback. Focused on making navigation clearer and more user-friendly by restructuring content and improving hierarchy.
WordPress optimization.
Assisted in optimizing WordPress configurations to improve site performance and functionality. Helped refine system behavior to support a smoother user experience.
Client data validation and encoding.
Verified client existence in PromptGraph and encoded new client offers into Excel when necessary. Ensured accuracy in offer titles, disclaimers, and expiry dates while maintaining organized records for tracking and compliance.
What I Learned
- Consistent UI structure improves usability more than isolated visual changes
- Navigation clarity (especially mega menus) has a big impact on user experience
- Small configuration and structural changes in WordPress can significantly improve overall site behavior
- Proper data documentation is essential for maintaining accurate and trackable client records
